La Leche League is a non-profit, apolitical, non-denominational, and non-governmental organization set up in the United States in 1956 to provide breastfeeding information and support to women and their families. It now has a presence in over 60 countries worldwide.  La Leche League Switzerland (LLLCH) has been supporting breastfeeding women and promoting breastfeeding in Switzerland for more than 30 years.

 

Why promote breastfeeding? Amongst other reasons, because breastfeeding benefits:

• the health of both mother and child;
• the bond between parent and child;
• solidarity between families; and
• the environment

Our LLL Leaders offer free personal consultations by phone, by email, or in person and monthly LLL Series Meetings where parents meet to discuss parenting topics and to offer one another support and encouragement in their common decision to breastfeed.
